I have had a workroom, both retail and wholesale to the trade, for over 25 years. We specialize in “exceptional quality” bed linens, slipcovers, draperies, cornices and valances. The Zipper Lady came about with the realization that other workrooms needed high quality zippers but didn’t want to warehouse thousands of yards per color.
In 2008, I moved my workroom from Fort Collins to Denver. With 4 other women in a co-op, we became The Drapery Studio at 582 So. Broadway, Denver, CO 80209, phone 303-722-2240. We are excited to offer classes in a working workroom with industry professionals, both as individual classes or as the on-going Workroom Apprenticeship program. Classes will begin late January, 2009.
The Drapery Studio will also have all of the Zipper Lady products for sale. You can bring your fabrics in to match with our 52 zipper colors.
Please join us for lunch on the 3rd Friday of every month, RSVP. We will have fabric reps showing their new lines, demonstrations on new techniques and products, and just plain fun away from our sewing machines for a couple of hours (noon – 2).
